finally after months, the naruto fillers have ended, the first non filler episode 221 is out:D

The series "Naruto" ended with episode 220.

The new series is "Naruto: Shippuuden" and has aired the first two episodes in an hour-long special.

So what's series 2 about? And maybe someone could give me a spoiler-filled recap of whatever the heck happened in the end of naruto 1?

Well, seeing how they were all fillers, I'm willing to guess a whole lot of nothing happened.

Nothing past episode 135 mattered.

The new series takes place 3 years after the original.

Basically as Grav said watch the fight with the Elite Sound 5 and the fight between Naruto and Sasuke and thats the end of Naruto. I noticed that the Anime adds content and changes the place of some content or just plain deletes some content that was in the Manga. I suggest watching the Anime if you just want the story but for all the goofy shit read the Manga.

I completely agree with hotdog. The 2nd episode should be or already aired in Japan by the time I wrote this.

Yeah I hate when they do specials though, because most of the time they add a bunch of wierd things like the keyword or w/e it was in the 1 hour special of Naruto Shippuuden.

DB, I don't think they have a sub out yet. I haven't checked though. I was refurring to the original unsubbed version. About SD though, I heard rumors that they were going to start subbing the show as well.

I only groups that matter that used to sub Naruto were AnimeOne and Dattebayo. Dattebayo has subbed episodes 1-4 and episode 5 doesn't come out until next Thursday.

As I recall there were over 5 groups who subbed the original Naruto. 'Project SD' I beleave is their name it's a group I heard these rumors about them supposidly subbing the new Naruto series. Other shows I know they have subbed are Makai Senki Disgaea.

Note: I said "groups that matter."

There was another group that was important I can't think of their name right now but they did an amazing translation, though as soon as the legal issuses popped up they stopped on the dot episode 67 of something which sucked.

Toriyama's World. They are still not that great.

Everyone like the new series? I'm pretty pleased with it. Lots of new moves/traits have been shown thus far (well, besides naruto's general lackluster self) =P.

i am NOT pleased with the new series.. at first i thought it was gonna be great but they beat kakashi by telling him spoilers of the book?? thats the kind of thing they do in fillers... and naruto doesn't have ANY new moves it seems like and the only thing sakura has new is super strength

Well, noone expected them to beat him in the first place. The test was how they did against him. This way, they can beat him, and he still be a better ninja than them.

Yeah I'd be kinda disappointed if they made them out to be better ninjas than Kakashi. Kakashi is the shit.

I haven't watched the new ones yet though, mostly because I don't know where I left of in the filler and I can't force myself to skip ~70 episodes, regardless of if they are filler or not. Most likely I'll just redownload and start from like 100 again sometime.

They're taking their sweet time on revealing any new moves Naruto has. He seems pretty shitty at the moment. Gaara seems to have progressed though. I'm ready to see Neji and Rock Lee in action again.

Naruto did not learn any new moves he learned how to better control his chakra. That is why during the Kakashi fight he is the only one who isnt breathing hard and hes not all dirty from the fighting. He also learned to use his Shadow Clones to fight and rarely appears to the fight himself. Sakura 3was also learning the same things except she learned how to control her chakra so she can smash shit like Tsunade, and learned to heal. How easily you forget that Sasuke was the technique whore of the show...

I said the above about Sasuke because he knows like 6 techniques BEFORE leaving with Orochimaru and he only learns more techniques when they show him again.

i'm not familiar with whores =(.

I'm hearing rumors of Naruto being aired only biweekly. Anyone know if this is true? This is an interesting strategy to make sure the atrocity that was the fillers never happens again if so.

It's doing the same thing One Piece is doing. It skips every once in a while.

I mean honestly, why does it take so long to create the manga? I know they have to write the story and such but I know people who make better stories through a long night of drug induced ranting =P.
