Are you talking about the movie? If you are, then we all new about it. But just because we know about it, doesn't mean we ain't excited.

If your talking about the game, then it's not really a sequel. It's more of a different POV. You play as the Turks, and that's all I know. I read it in some gaming magazine.

Well, I was talking about the movie, which I thought was a game, but now that you say that there is a game also, thats bad ass, although the Turks are "cool" they are not as cool as the other characters. But anything that adds more to the storyline has got to be good in my opinion.

Actually, there are more than 1 new FFVII games. The Prequal is the Cell Phone game, FFVII: Before Crisis. Than FFVII:Advent Children which is a movie sequal. Than there is FFVII: Ber de Cerebus(something like that) which is a Devil May Cry style game starring Vincent.

I think they shoulda made it into a game and then after you beat the game you get the option of watching the whole movie.

FFVII is the single worst thing to happen since the crucifixion of Jesus. It is evident that we're even dumber than we were then. All this FFVII shit is just sucking the ignorant, stoopid masses dry of their poorly spent money. I wouldn't see that movie if you put a gun to my head.

A lame, douchebag of a hero plus a lame, loser of a villain plus two big swords that can't cover up their lack of a good storyline equals FFVII. Then, there's Aeris. It's a ton of BS.

well i thought the story line was decent. but my main draw for FFVII being one of my favorite games is the mini games. I mean damn i would buy this game just to be able to play all of the mini games, with my favorite being the fort condor battles.

IMHO the coolest thing square could ever do would be to release every single mini game on a disc or even for the GBA because most of them are really awesome.

FF7=Greatest game of all time. Undisputed and without question it jsut does not get any better than FF7.

Not in any particular order, but they are ALL substantially better than FFVII in every way possible.

And about the mini-games, Chocobo racing was okay, but Chocobo Questing in FFIX totally owns the FFVII breeding process.

Necromancer, you do have a valid point, but FFVII is good. Out of those games, I have played MGS1,MGS2(both versions)MGS3(you left out >.<),GTA VC,GTA:SA(left out), Xenogears, Legacy of Kain Series.

But the AC movie doesn't look to bad, S-E is also putting a lot of effort into this movie so that it does better than the marvelous(sp) FF:SW, which was poorly underrated.

Let's just wait and see how it turns out.

I've got to agree w/ zeal on that one.

Laugh all you want. Squall at least has some character, as opposed to a dimwit who messed up his own mind because he was such a failure. Squall was a sob-story boy turned stoic due to pain. Cloud was a pussy who deluded himself because he couldn't accomplish hsi own dream. Also, Aeris and Sephiroth are in Final Fantasy VII. Cloud, Aeris and Sephiroth.... No one can claim Ultamecia, Zell, and Rinoa are the greatest characters to ever exist, but at least Ultamecia doesn't appear until the end. We didn't have to have to bare the knowledge of how lame she was until the last battle. Sephiroth popped in and out all the time in Final Fantasy VII, showing us just how moronic his story was, and how much of a tool he was.

The game is good. I like playing it. However, it is by no means the best game ever.

I'm sorry but this thread has just breached the highest nerdiness level.

FFVII has a really good story line, I've got no idea what you are talking about Kuja(and I don't think you do either.)

The worst thing about FFVII was the graphics, they were horrible at best.

I'm pretty sure the Advent Children movie will not suck. Square made the mistake of making a really bad movie before, and they regret it. They wont do it again.

As for the new games, I wouldn't know about them. The Ber de Cerebus game doesn't sound too horrible. I can't imagine how any final fantasy game could be worth playing on a cell phone.

1. A long-haired fool just happens to choose a mission he didn't have to do, thus leading to him going nuts.
2. The same long-haired idiot decides, just out of the blue, to go on a killing spree and suddenly un-become a semi-nic eguy.
3. The hero is such a fool that he has to lie to himself to try and make his own life more important. He is a failure, as a human and a Sephiroth-clone.
4. The heroine is Aeris. She makes a love triangle and summons Holy... That's the only important thing she did.
5. Long-haired idiot wants to become a god, but any fool can se that Meteor will kill them all.

Those are the major problems. It might not sound like it, but I like this game. I can pick it up and play it anytime and have some fun. However, fi you analyze the plot, it is rather weak. You may state why I'm wrong now, if you wish.

well i cannot agree with you especially on number 3 you say he is a failure as a human and a Sephiroth-clone, why is it then that Cloud is ultimatley the one to defeat Sephiroth. Are you trying to tell me that a superior clone can be defeated by someone who is a "failure".

I would have to agree that the plot is not the best i have ever seen in a game but i think that it sufices and makes the game enjoyable. There are so many elements to the story that you did no include in your analysis such as Barret's story, and the whole Cat Sith part of the story.

It could be said that the "super clone" strayed from his original and pre determined course therefore nullifying his superiority.

I think you all are missing the hidden messageo_O, It is something that involves problems we face nowadays. CLONING. Sephiroth is what would happen if the clone was to possess all the evil attributes of a person (Cloning is only been proven to be 97 percent accurate at the most). Cloud is the heroic parts of a person. It also has to do with all the steroids we inject into our foods (MAKO in FF7) to make super powered people and stuff. If anything, FF7 was the best, because it related so closely to the problems of the world, that games still today are trying to relate that closely to life. What was so great about FF8? It was the lamest story in history, and the hero had the gayest cause, he saved the world because he wanted to. Zidane is very similar to Cloud and Sephiroth, cause from what I heard, he was a Genome (Genetically altered super soldier thing). And Tidus was just fucked beyond everything when he was content and happy with his life. Now if you guys want to get technical about this, every single video game has the same story. Hero is thrust into position of saving the world, villain hates hero for no known reason and wants to rule the world. Hero stops villain, world is safe. No one plays a game for the general story, they play it for the details that each game delivers. How each story's details are fleshed out, and how well the player gets to know the characters that he/she plays. The reason FF7 will be the best game from Square-Enix, is becaus it is the first game to let you get to know the story behind just about every character you come in contact with. Each character has their own reasons for saving the planet, be it for going to space(Cid), or for living long enough to repay the world for what you did wrong (Cait Sith). You learned so much about each character and felt a little sorry for them and felt that they had a well-justified reason for doing what they do. You know damn well you would want to rule the world if you found out your daddy was GOD, and don't tell me you wouldn't because man kind's desire is to be more powerful than someone else. That's why we have violence and wars. FF7 will always be remembered for that, and any other game after that will be great, and may be better in many ways, but it will not cast a dark shadow over FF7.

On Topic: The game that stars Vincent, would be a good game in my opinion. I think the reason they are doing a game starring him, is because they never really let you know anything about him in FF7, so they are trying to shed some light on his dark past, and let gamers know why he had condemned himself. The Cell phone game looks great, but as King Amazon said, the cell phone game couldn't be that entertaining. As for the movie, I expect it to be great, just like the game.

I can guarantee you the movie will be worth watching at least. They won't make the same mistake they did with Spirits Within.
