I had been thinking similar thoughts since I saw the results of the impact...

You would see evidence of damage from the massive wingspan of a 757 along the sides of the building before they were shorn off, and there is no such evidence of that in any pictures I saw.

This stuff has been on the news and news programs all over the world. Perhaps they needed to clean up some top secret documents or something :P

There are many pictures of the area, there's no way a 757 could fit in them... and the whole survelance camera thing is just too weird.

They tried to make their story into saying that the plane had hit the ground, and turn sideways when it entered into the building.

Because the attack on the World Trade Center would just scream that they were coming for the Pentagon next. The wouldn't destroy the white house or capitol, but they would certainly pick the Pentagon at random and blow the hell out of it. They would cost themselves billions of dollars off of a hunch. They wouldn't even warn the people that work at the Pentagon, they would simply blow it up without regard to human life. Think about it for a second. It makes no sense.

The Pentagon doesn't even seem like a viable target for Terrorists to begin with, as it's the head of Military Operations...

Considering you can't really mobilize the Military into action against a cell of Terrorists, it was a fucking stupid move.

Hitting CIA Headquarters or another Intelligence Center would've been a smarter move, if they were trying to cover their tracks.
