Favorite Summon?
 

What's your favorite summon monster, and which version of that summon is your favorite? My favorite has got to be Odin from FF9. Odin has always seemed like the most intimidating summon to me after I played FF4 for the first time, and his summon cinematic is just badass is FF9.

FF7, Knights of the Round. 2nd would be Ark in FF9

Anima in FFX, he...man, he is wicked!!!

PHEONIX IN FF7,8 AND 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh and Eden, Bahamut, Doomtrain, Magus Sisters, Jumbo Cactaur, Anima, Tonberry King, and thats all i could think of right now.

im sorry but im just a ff7 freak i would have to say knights of the round these kguys guys kick ass how could you not like it.it does over 20,000 damage and you just cant get better with the cinamatics.its the top of the line man

well, in FF8, Eden does(in my game) over 45,000dmg... not to mention the cool movie scene... not saying Eden is better... just saying he is pretty cool also.

after playing for a while now with the magus sisters, its pretty clear that they're the most powerful summon in any FF. The only thing in the game that can be more powerful than them is yojimbo's ultimate attack, and that costs millions of gil. They fight separately, heal eachother, know pretty much every spell in the game, and can stay out there practically forever.

Well, them are my favoites!

I didnt really like eden in looks but his power and his movie scene rocked! Takes abit(the movie scene) but WOO HOO u can boost him up FULL and attack enemies at their FULLEST!

Talk abotu Boost goes UP

If you like all summons... u would really love the FF10 summons since u can actually control them instead of them just using their attack and leave...

are u serious? Ok, ok, wait a min... u live in the states right? Cuz i live in canada, and im only gr7 and can get 20$ per few hours of working in like a convenience store...
or even get them for doin chores(really worth it cuz i dont have much to do) and i get 10 per week but still, u do practically no work to get em.

well, now that you mention it,

some people, myself included, think that putting in a summon that can take hp damage (as in FF8 and 10) makes it less important to have strong characters and takes away a bit from the necessity to have a party in which all your characters are strong (come on, how many of you people actually use khimari :p ). It's debatable, but personally, id like to see summons attack once if there are any.

well, wut u have just said is true... but in FF8 and 10, their summons always die in one shot when fighting like bosses, so i dont think its that bad.

Ark in FF9 was tooo damn long. I personally like Yojimbo heheh short and sweet.

I didn't like Ark because he transforms into this badass robot...and then just kinda stands there. His limbs don't move at all, he just stays in that neutral upright position.

yea... and the dmg suck against like bosses such as Trance Kuja and Necron... Ark only does about 6k dmg to them. After all that long movie scene but 6k dmg... i personally dont think its worth it but thats the best u could do with edilons against those bosses so i dont totally blame Ark.

with magus sisters or anima you do mucho damage, and with yojimbo you can 1 hit kill some bosses, as long as you got the cash heheh

Magus Sisters themselves can kill a boss too... but usually aeons get killed in one shot from a boss like Seymour so i guess if u pay him enough cash he would be better to use...

My favorite summon is........ Chocobo/Mog from FF7!!

Yea. I got the materia from the Chocobo Ranch I think...It does about 300 dmg to all enemies its starting level...

is that good or bad? It looks bad to me... 300 dmg for a summon? thats really bad.

Yeah, but you get Chocomog after about two hours of gameplay. 300 damage at that point in the game is pretty fucking sweet, if you ask me.

atleast the magus sisters can resurrect each other... and damn Tri Attack does damn damn damn damage

actually their overdrive really disappointed me..... their NORMAL ATTACKS can do better cuz their attack does like 50 000 and over per sister, but the overdrive all together in one does like 99 999 dmg or something i forget but the overdrive should do TRIPLE more dmg than their normal attacks... the best overdrive in the game is Anima's Oblivion(period).

well, i'll see, i'll see... i just got the game from HLomegasin so im gonna start it today... and i cant wait till i get that CHOCOMOG guy... cuz ive never summoned a chocobo before in an FF game... well at least not PROPERLY cuz i summoned one in FF8 but thats only when u have a gyshal greens and they dont really attack but they dig treasures so... yea.

thnx, and no im outta midgar now :) i didnt play for abit now. Im at after the Cloud on motorbike part and im in the world map right now, heading to a city or something.

I think there the best summon because of that. You know more bang for your buck.

oh i just relized Shiva in FFX was one of my most used summons lol... shes shes really good looking I always got her every spell and her evade is sooooooooooo damn high that whenever a strong monster that can 1 hit kill her attacks, it misses like every single time and the overdrive bar fills up 100% and I dont even miss any turn with her after using overdrive cus of her speed.

You can replay the motorcycle game once you get to Gold Saucer, which happens to be one of the coolest areas of the game.

shiva was a good aeon in FFX unlike all the other FF series... all the other series really suck but FFX's shiva, is a real advanced aeon since u get a bit later in the game.

shiva and the lightning horse are my favorite!
