Ever wonder why you dont' keep your mouth shut?

You ever wake up one day and go "I shouldn't get out of bed" but you do anyway. Then something happens and you're not in the right state of mind and you should be keeping your mouth shut but you end up opening it? Well...that happened on Sunday...now I am no longer trusted or anything. I accidentally told my mom I was bi (I was a little unstable at the time...and definitely not in the right state of mind) and now...she thinks I need therapy, etc. How many of you have had this with your parents (not talking about telling them you're of a different orientation, etc.)?

!King_Amazon! 2004-06-07 08:57 PM

Good you deserved it.

KagomJack 2004-06-07 08:58 PM

...I'm asking if you've had a similar event with your parents...not whether I deserved this or not...

HandOfHeaven 2004-06-07 08:58 PM

NOPE. Must happen with you a lot, seem to have a couple of issues, one being bi and all....

Titusfied 2004-06-07 09:07 PM

Yeah, never really happened to me. I agree with !K_A! though. :)

KagomJack 2004-06-07 09:09 PM

:P

Well, I've had several other occasions when I should've kept my mouth shut. I once told her I hit someone (it was a fight i won :/ but the school never contacted her) and she flipped out...

Sweet Tooth 2004-06-07 09:35 PM

My parents just dont trust me.....no event related

D3V 2004-06-07 10:06 PM

One time my dad was fucking pissing me off about some bullshit (I can't remember about) And I called him a Jew. Yeah, mistake. But nontheless I've never really said anything and had it taken the wrong way or whatever, but yeah I guess you did deserve it, lol.

Sovereign 2004-06-07 10:42 PM

Sucks :-\.

I dont remember it ever happenign to me. But i have really bad memory.

HandOfHeaven 2004-06-07 10:55 PM

Might've done it when you were high though....

Slim 2004-06-07 10:57 PM

We call that a stoners memory.

Sovereign 2004-06-07 11:02 PM

Probably.

But i don't remember. So i don't care ^_^.

Grav 2004-06-08 04:36 AM

platnum 2004-06-08 07:57 AM

Tai 2004-06-08 08:00 AM

Well that sucks o_O

Thanatos 2004-06-08 10:11 AM

Well one time, I was really confuzzled and told my parents that my sister was a lesbian! They believed me! hahahahaahahahhahaaaha then they founded out that I was bi - CRAP!

!King_Amazon! 2004-06-08 12:32 PM

I can see our planet is taking it's one way trainride to hell.

Jessifer 2004-06-08 03:12 PM

It didn't happen to me when my father found out I was bi-curious, but when my aunt found out that her daughter thought she was a lesbian and had a girlfriend, she immediately sent her to therapy. Since then the mother-daughter relationship between her and her mom has been rather...ehrm...forced.

You know, I was trying to mock Kagom, but it turned into a Slaynish + Kagom mix; and I really would like to forget about it. Mmkay?

Well, I've certainly said many things in my life that I wish I hadn't though perhaps nothing quite this major. However, if you are feeling unstable, then perhaps the councilling is not such a bad idea. There is nothing wrong with being bi, imho, but there is something wrong with feeling bad/unstable. If your parents are willing to shell out for this, I'd say go for it.

There's a lot wrong with being bi but that isn't what the thread is about so I won't go there.

The thing is, i am very rarely unstable. And when I am, I snap on people, yell, and am easily irritated. I'm fine 98% of the time.

sheerx 2004-06-09 06:23 PM

Yep that happens when people PMS.. (even guys PMS supposetly...)
anyway that happened to me but rather than saying something I shouldn't I just zoned out. It's usually when I just wake up.

Well, if you are generally happy, then I don't see a problem here at all. You're parents will get use to the idea that you are bi sooner or later (there really isnt much other choice). It is probably better that they know.

Everyone has some times when they are unhappy or unstable and everyone puts their foot in their mouth once in a while. Perfectly normal. I do it all the time. :P

???

Fuck you.

Ganga 2004-06-13 10:05 PM

I am still wondering how you accidentally told your mom that you are bisexual, so you just were talking to your mom and you like " hey mom i am bisexual, errrr......".

Well, shit happens.

I remember that once I just woke up, and was like, "I just killed the Carlsons [neighbors] last night." Boy did I feel stupid, heh.

I can really see that you were telling the truth.

Thanatos 2004-06-14 08:14 AM

Now you're one step closer to decent!

KagomJack 2004-06-14 04:10 PM

Well, I was unstable and I really wasn't in control of myself...and I kinda blurted it out.
