A Quick Idea
 

I was thinking about it. What if we were to make up our own rpg game. It woulld be a lot of work, but it would be a lot of fun. I mean the type that you write out what you do. That kind of thing. We could base it in the past, or the future. Then, the stuff we have at the side (Imp General, Gold, Weapon, Armor, etc) would have something to do instead of nothing. Just an idea. Write what you think. EVERYBODY!! PLEASE!!

Are you talking about a "real" computer game? Like MMO? :P

i mean only text. I was part of a web sit ethat did it for a while. It was a lot of fun. You can really get in to it. What do you say? I could take car eof the rules and everything.

You diddnt say multiplayer either, but if we cant talk to ,interact, fight, level up with Other people at the same time In the game, then i dont think its worth the time

IF this ever gets off the ground i can help with SOME c++ work and documentation, set us up a source forge, message boards and all that shit that devs do =o kinda been through it more then once ... *shrugs* i dont think theres enough intrest in it tho

Simple Simple. You can write text interaction games with qbasic.. they suck, but you can.

Adding skill/stats/level ups/etc would be more in depth, but I'm sure no big deal.. multiplayer would be a little different.

But if your gonna do that, why not go farther and include pictures or something? It'd make things alot more intersting.

Someone should learn 3DML... and make it into sort of a RPG game...Or for a more simple approach, we could just use RPGM2000 :)

rpgm makes multiplayer games?

I don't know I've never used it I was just saying if we could somehow do that.

the games there look nice, well nice as in , we wouldent have to code a huge interface and whatever, the less code the better, But if it could then lets use that

RM2K isn't exactly that enormously simple (wait until I release my game), but the multiplayer option would be impossible with it.

Making a web game like Utopia is doable, but it would take some work. We could do it with PHP alone and use a SSH Database for saving the info, but it would still be pretty advanced.

But honestly, if we ever made a good online game for a browser, we could turn it into a big-time project and attract lots of people that wants to play it.

but i think it sould be a seperit part of zel like there is foroms and then the home page i think it sold be like rp form but yea it wold be interesting figuring out how to make it so we know who wins munths even years but if we do it, it will revolutionise forum's and we wold be the best place ever but you might have to put some ads up for the money isue but hay you got to do what you got to do

well if we were very knowlagble (we sadly arnt =p) we can make a game worth Charging for =p (again we would have to make it from scratch to aviod copyright stuff) Oh well... I dont see any solution to payment tho, advertisment isent a very good way, unless u can get a deal with ur isp that u would Post There link on your like main page and add popup banned or somthin

The easiest way of doing this... MAKE A MUD :) A MUD is the solution :)

Why don't we do what xenn said. Text interaction games. Everyone says they suck, but that is what i said at first too. It was a lot of fun. I don't know. Maybe. But paying for it. I don't know about that. Can't we come up with an idea that we don't have to pay.

I mean it is really hard for some people to pay for that sort of thing. I am only 16. I can barely get enough money for lunch at school sometimes.
