Smash Bros. Preferences?
 

Okay, I was pretty disappointed with the selection of bonus characters in Smash Bros. Melee. Too many of them were copies of already existing characters. Luigi, Dr. Mario, Pichu, Young Link, Roy, Ganondorf, and Falco were all slightly altered copies of other characters in the game. I felt a little cheated. What characters would you have preferred in place of your least favorite bonus characters?

I would have liked another Earthbound character like Poo or Jeff in place of Pichu or Dr. Mario.

they should have put Sonic and Tails in the game

I think there's nothing wrong with them creating falco or ganon, 'cuz they're better than the originals. However, if I had it my way, Young Link would be something more like the first Catselvania guy. His game sucked, but SSMB could revive him. Heck, look what they did for Ice Climbers! ...Bad example, I guess...

I definitely prefer Ganondorf over Captain Falcon, but I like Fox WAY more than Falco. Simon Belmont would've been cool, but that character is no longer exclusively licensed to Nintendo, so he couldn't have been in the game. I had the hardest time coming up with characters that they could have used, but it's not easy.

Sonic Team = Sega-run ... Sega OWNS Sonic... it doesn't matter what system it's on... and I would have liked to see J-Bomb from Blast Corps or Bomberman.

Dive, but I guess with him, getting knocked off would be impossible... he flies... B could be like, a dive forward... B+Down could have him roll backward and fire the thrusters in the opponent's face... B+Up... well... Jet up, I guess... he'd sorta be a sort-range character.

Naw, he'd be just fine to control. They could just make his double jump a large burst from his pack. He'd be no different from Kirby or Yoshi, they've both got INSANE double jumps, but no real triple jump. It would be the same for J-Bomb. They'd have to throw his stomp move in for Down+B or Down+A. And they could come up with some cooler shit for him to have that he didn't have in BC. Just look at Ness. He didn't have PSI Fire, Thunder or Magnet in EarthBound, and those are three of his moves.

He actually would be a good character, 'cuz as far as I can remember, he couldn't fly forever. He'd be like yoshi and captain falcon, plus maybe fox with that jet thing goin' on...sigh...i'm revealing too much about my "All in the Family" online fanfiction roots...thought I had gotten rid of that terrible habit
