What video card?
 

I am getting a new video card and was wondering what to get. I will probably be getting it off newegg. This needs to run me under $200 and the lower the better. I remember people talking about a new radeon card coming out soon and i should get that but i cant remember what it was called. Is it even out yet?

Radeon 9600 XT? It's probably your best bet but it's around $210.

Get an older geforce vid card. BUt that is just my opinion.

Definitely! 9600XT will the strongest/fastest card in the 200 buxs range. You'll need it to play Half-Life2/Doom3 decently. I'm getting it! Only thing that will beat it is GeForceFX5900 or its brotha 9800XT...

I cant seem to find the difference between each one except for the cost.

For one, the Sapphire is OEM, which means just comes with the card nothing else. No fancy box!

And also because Asus makes a very stable vid. card and they're leet choice in brand... go to compusa... or something, its 200 buxs there for the normal "radeon 9600xt".

Well there it is coming in at $200. Acceptable. And the addition of a free copy of half life 2 only sweetens the deal.

Click on the Raedon 9200 AGP, Its nice, tv out, svideo, Runs good, and its cheap.

But if you want anything else go to the 256mb sgram, or 128mb agp. Anything will do, but raedon is better, and yes, geforce.

which box comes with the half life 2? the one on newegg? that was 220 and i didnt even see half life 2 mentioned in it any also half life 2 doesnt come out until april........ and by that time you might could even get something better than xt for cheaper
