Be a little more specific?

Black and white colored items, like on Open. I use to know, but I'm not to sure. I think it's certain mods that make the colors(like 500% increased damage to undead would make it white I believe.)

Mantralord 2003-08-30 10:19 PM

No, its not the mods that make the colors, silly, its done by changing the unique's name to another unique's name, so that the game makes the palette shift for that unique.

For example, making a "Swordguard Spired Helm" would make a white helm, because the Swordguard sword has a white palette shift. Thats the method for making white items.

Now, if you wanted an orange item, you could make it a "The Grandfather Spired Helm." If you wanted a black item, you'd make a "Corpsemourn" one. If you wanted a red item, you could make it "Blade of Ali-Baba." Etc.

6 Pdiamond weapon is white. Pdiamonds add damage to undead. K.

You're both wrong, You have to hex edit the item and change a code in it somewhere, there is a tutorial somewhere.

yea you have to use the hex editor and be familiar with it which i am not:( you can goto almost any d2 hacking site and read how to do it..

Mantralord 2003-08-31 03:32 PM

Yea, you change the code to make it into a different unique name, duh!

Adrenachrome 2003-08-31 05:08 PM

No, you don't.

DrowningOnAir 2003-08-31 07:31 PM

Using a "swordgaurd" "alibaba" etc. item WILL make it white, red, black, etc

OROROROROR

You can hex edit it. And change the colors. Both ways work.

Also, to get white items(on open) you can just beg or be nice to people with them, and you may get some.

:wierd: You hex edit the item to make a swordguard item. You can't simply change the colors with a hex editor. There is a certain item code, I'm pretty sure it's like, offset 13 and 14, that you change so it matches the item code of a colored unique. The item you changed will not only change colors, but have the unique's name. Hence, a swordguard helmet. Glad I cleared it up.

Shinto...might not be a good idea to edit out the spam, unless it is scrolling...might want to keep them for some reasons.

Edit:
Unlike some people I believe in giving chances. Next time I warn.

This guy wasn't really specific enough. Is this for open or closed ?

symnzXx 2003-09-01 04:38 PM

Duh, dipshit. You can't get hacked color items on closed realms. At least, to the best of my knowledge. :wierd:

Mantralord 2003-09-01 07:04 PM

Well, on closed, Soulflay Gauntlets are green because the Soulflay sword is green. Thats about the only palette-shifted item i know of.

symnzXx 2003-09-01 07:40 PM

I think he means colored for character appearance.

badboy 2003-09-01 07:53 PM

SymnzXx take your shit to the flame forum, I don't want your filth here.
