Dont we need a mod for this?
 

Do we not need a mod for the starcraft and broodwar section? To check maps and such for viri and trojans and such? Im surprised we havent had one yet. Ive been playing starcraft for 4 years now, had 3 years in computer experience and would be more then willing to mod the starcraft section of zelaron if i was givin then oppertunity, If i do get to be the mod of the Sc/Bw part of zelaron i promise to do my best to keep everything undercontrol and viri/trojan free. Thank you for hearing me out and i hope to be able to mod this part.

We have a lot of Super mods around. I really don't see it as a necessity.

Unfortunately, I don't know you well enough to nominate you for the position if it's needed, though. We'll have to see what the admins think about this.

Well personally i think id make a good mod for starcraft, since we dont have one i figured we should get one and ive had plenty of experience with starcraft,

I don't think we need a mod for it at the moment. If the Sup Mods are doing their job.. there should be no problem. This place gets no activity anyway.

Omega a good thing to do for the starcraft forum would be to try to bring more life to it. ie: Posting more and sending people from starcraft to it ;)

Thats what ive had in mind, if i get to be a moderator then i plan to add the latest hacks,strategys,warnings,maps and other such this as well as bring alot of my SC friends to the starcraft portion of zelaron. Most of the people in Starcraft that i know of that actually go to zelaron everynow and then have said they would go to the starcraft section for hacks and such but it doesnt have a mod to ensure the maps/file/hacks are safe and also that there isnt many people visiting it on account of the lack of information and files it delivers.

no offense but i would rather have James to be the SC mod... he had requested it a long time ago.

If we attact more attention to SC then maybe the admins will take a look at it. Being an huge fan of SC, I know that the forums could be activly used, becuase the game is quite huge.

Well james if they do take a look at it and it comes down to me and you as mods i guess we would have to decide which is best suited for the job, but seeing as you asked first and seem to like the game quite a bit i woudnt mind you being the mod, but id love to mod the sc part as well. and guess what? Ive already attracted alot more attention to the starcraft part ^^

i havent been posting at zelaron long but ive been reading for a while (too lazy to register). I just recently actually looked beyond the d2 part :) Now that i saw this i think it would be great if it were enhanced. If there is a mod in the future, that would be great. I think i am gonna go and get some people to come here for SC and BW now.

That would be useful. That is one of the main reason I came here.

God, that's one of the reasons I quit SC/BW. Hacks. Hacks ruin the fun of the game. I did well in all the "ladders" that were going around the BW community (BWDL, CL, and others). Hacks came in and CL closed. BWDL tried to pull through, but the admins were having too many complaints of hacks and crap.

You couldn't find a serious game without being accused of hacking or having somebody hack against you. Anyways, that's my 2 cents.

And now the cycle has gone to Diablo 2. There are a lot less cheaters in SC now.

Well told you the forum would grow if we had a mod, we dont even have a mod and its gettning bigger, imagine if we had one.

I agree, a lot of cheats and hacks are lame. On the other hand, if we deny that they even exist or refuse to acknowledge that people actually want to use them, all that will happen is that we will delay those looking for cheats and hacks by a few minutes as they leave this site for a new one. And trust me, just because you use a map hack to win a game doesn't mean you're an arch villain whose goal in life is to completely devastate any computer games out there.

Personally, if there were no cheaters, I think the gaming industry would be a better place. But like I said, if we refuse to help them, it's only our loss. While trojans and virii are things I despise, things such as a map hack would be far more acceptable. I'm sure a lot of you will think I'm completely insane suggesting something like me, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Chrusher i agree with you completly, The main purpose of hacks are to show your true skill, the skill to cheat to win a game. If a game is so important to you that you MUST win play a game like mario brothers or something, find a game that takes no skill to win. As for the maphack i dont agree with it i dont use it i think its cheap as hell simply because you know what there building and can easily counter it. On the other hand i agree about delay them a few seconds and them finding a new site which is the only reason if i become a mod i would post such things for sc. There are a few hacks that i have that i WILL NOT under ANY circumstances post, such ass the unit hack. Im sure most of you have seen the toss have units that just dont die. Well thats the unit hack ive cam across many variations of this and there all fucking gay. There is no possible way i would release anything THAT bad to the public.

Well to me, I think if you need to cheat to win, it shows something about your personality.

Say if Chruser does need a mod for this forum, and he chooses you over me, I wouldn't be too crushed about it. ;)

Well i woudnt be crushed about it either but i would want it to be a fair choice, i think who ever is the best for the job should get it.
You seem to know a good bit about SC from the posts ive seen you make.
