Gee thanks Pheonix...

Chrono Break is the sequel to Chrono Cross, and it IS coming out...

I)ark_Phoenix 2002-04-10 04:11 PM

So wut u want me to do is... uh unclose the thread or make a new one? Chrono Break sounds sweet... if square made it and its new... then it must be good.

FuRy 2002-04-10 05:48 PM

I don't really care cuz I don't think it's coming out for a while...

I)ark_Phoenix 2002-04-11 03:11 PM

I'm just waiting for FF11... nothing else so far.

Raziel 2002-04-11 09:44 PM

You mean Final FantEverquest? I'm warning you, it's gonna blow.

mightychicken 2002-04-13 10:05 PM

Raziel 2002-04-13 10:18 PM

You have a point, MightyChicken. Some people will throw money away for ANYTHING.

I seriously doubt that FFVI is gonna suck...

Raziel 2002-04-14 04:37 PM

Oh, I have no doubt that the game itself will be well designed. I don't disagree with you AT ALL on that. The problem is the players. Online games require the players themselves to make it a worthwhile experience. Too many people however (mainly Everquest players) have a tendency to completely ruin it for everyone. When you've got an Elf Cleric character running around in a forest asking everyone he sees "Yo, dawg. Need Gil, where can get LOL" that tends to ruin the atmosphere of the game. The fact is, that kind of problem will NEVER go away, so making online games is just a waste. But, it does bring in LOTS of cash for the developers, so the creation of these crappy games will never end. Online RPGs have become chat rooms with pretty graphics...THAT'S ALL.

Raziel 2002-04-14 04:42 PM

And I just didn't like FFVIII. The story made NO sense. Graphically, it was amazing. The sound was incredible. The character design was badass. The cutscenes were unbelievable. But the plot was completely disjointed, the Junction system was TOO powerful, and the main character was a worthless dickhead until THE VERY END of the game. Come on, Cloud started out as a dick too, but he became likeable pretty quickly. Squall was IMPOSSIBLE to like.

Still, Square just want to throw in a online game for Final Fanytasy. Becuse FFXII will NOT be an online game!

Raziel 2002-04-16 11:21 AM

Seriously, I'm convinced that Square didn't actually write a story for the game. This is what I think happened: all of the writers sat down in a meeting and one says "Okay, let's brainstorm a list of really cool events and plot twists that we could use, then we'll pick the best ones and build the plot from there." Only, instead of doing exactly that, they just kept everything on the list and mashed it together into a TERRIBLE game. The whole thing was just a mishmash of unrelated events and random crap. Eye candy, nothing more.

Raziel 2002-04-16 11:22 AM

It was like watching a 40 hour movie trailer!!! That's the perfect analogy!

I)ark_Phoenix 2002-04-16 02:16 PM

Holy fuck!!! Raziel is like a computer! So much info... although they are pretty helpful...

Raziel 2002-04-16 04:05 PM

Well, I try my best! :D

HLomegasin 2002-04-16 09:15 PM
