Good thing I get a free upgrade soon. |
Well, I broke my phone over the weekend in Orlando. Great.
Now it's time to get a new phone. I'm thinking the new G1 (tmobile's iPhone ..essentially). We'll see :( |

I'm just trying to figure out what will be a good phone to get next upgrade (Not until February) but doesn't hurt to start looking into it lol. I love my current LG phone and I found them to be pretty reliable, so enlighten me about the probs of the Chocolate. Telus is usually a little behind on phones lol, but if I resign with them, I can keep my dirt cheap plan. |
No more L6 since it jumped into the cup of orange juice.
Now I use my mom's old Blackberry. |
I have the Alltel Hue by Samsung. It's a standard flip phone, plays music and allows me to call and text.

2. Touchpad becomes really hard to use after a year or so. 3. Screen gets damaged easily. 4. It's supposed to be a music phone, but the music options suck. Don't get one. |
Well, my K800i died at the start of November, to my disappointment.
From that, I went to a Samsung B130 - screen the size of a postage stamp, horrible clicky buttons... basically the cheapest bit of plastic a tenner could buy me. After about a month of using it, I gave up - the microphone is so useless that it's quicker to walk to wherever the person on the other end is calling from and shout down their ear than try and get them to understand what I'm trying to say through the phone. http://www.gsmhelpdesk.nl/toestellen/Samsung-B130.jpg Today I ordered a new phone, and my first contract deal (through the power of the intarwebs, I've managed to get £8 a month knocked off, which translates into a saving of about £124. The contract in total is around £315, which I find amazing - to get the same perks on Pay As You Go would mean a £30 top-up each month, plus the cost of the phone: a whopping £745!). Again I'm with Orange (they're the only provider with whom I have signal at home and at Uni). The phone: http://www.sindhtoday.net/wp-content.../sony-c902.jpg Sony Ericsson C902 Here's the old K800i: http://regmedia.co.uk/2006/08/03/se_k800i_1.jpg I'm going to miss the joystick, but I'm incredibly happy that I've got the C902. :D I've even been able to persuade my parents to pay for the first twelve months of the contract, and put a tenner towards the remaining six months. Silver tongue for the win! |
I purchased a used L7 SLVR off of Ebay a couple weeks ago. It was only 25 dollars as opposed to $150+! It works pretty well, only missing a button, but I have an extra I can replace it with, and it works fine without it.

Dude, that's a damn good deal, forrrr real. I'm looking for my old phone I broke like two months ago (been using brothers oldddd ass phone). Meh.

Just wanted to add some cool info about my phone... remember when I said it looked like the Camaro? Well I recently found out that it talks to me too now... it's totally awesome! When I put it on charge it tells me, "Battery is charging" in a female robot type voice...
It's like my own little Knight Rider... when it was a GM, not the shitty Ford Cobra KR500 or whatever it is now... Also, I am wishing I had gotten one with a qwerty keyboard, because I didn't think I would be "TXT"ing that much, but it is much easier to talk to my sister in KY rather than those long pauses if I were to call her... |
A car looking phone that talks to you? What the fuck?
|
I need help deciding on my next phone.
I'm really just wanting to snub something off of Ebay or Craigslist for around 100-200 bucks. Prefferably a Blackberry type phone that is used. (I Know it may be hard to find), or even a Gphone (android G1) through T-mobile. There's so much garbage out there, I may just end up going back and getting another Sidekick, .. but I really would rather have something a bit more normal. |
Still got my Sony Ericsson C902, but I'm looking to upgrade it to this:
http://www.yugatech.com/blog/wp-cont...6/htc-hero.jpg It's the HTC Hero - the latest Android phone from HTC. It's not a "with Google" phone, so I'll have to manually update Android (I don't know how well it will work, seeing as the UI - HTC Sense - is built on top of Android. There'll probably be a few breakages with each new firmware, so I think if I do get one I'll wait for the bugs to be ironed out for each update), but that doesn't bother me. The model I'd get (from Orange) is Graphite coloured: http://www.softsailor.com/wp-content...o-Graphite.jpg I'll have to work a bit longer still - the upgrade will cost me £100 for the handset, and however much to change my contract (an extra £15 a month for another 12 months maybe), I think. |
I've got a Motorola Q.
|
I have the all new non-phone. It doesn't actually exist but it has all the abilities of a regular phone without the annoying pocket space taken up and it has a a lifetime Guarantee not to break ever!
|
This was a skittles-like post
|
:P I felt slightly humorous.
|
You poor sod. :(
--- The Orange UK site tells me that the HTC Hero is available on my current contract, with £166 for the handset. Seeing as I won't need to change contract, I'm even more tempted by it now! I'm working again this Summer, and I've not got much to buy, so £166 for the phone is no biggy. And maybe £30 for a Class 6 16gb microSD card (apparently it's slight lag problems can be minimised massively with a good microSD card, as the phone stores a swapfile on the memory card. Thus, the faster and bigger the card, the faster the phone). |
After having a few prepaid phone temp after busting my other phone I'm settled right now with another Sidekick (ID). It's another temp phone, but i'll probably only have it for another month or so.
|
Ended up having to order the HTC Hero with a new contract. Luckily, my sister wanted a contract, and she really liked the Nokia 5800 I won from Pepsi, so she got the second one of those and I got the HTC Hero.
Absolutely amazing phone! The physical design is incredible, the UI is sleek, and I'm in love with Android. :D |
