It is easy, just get LW, and start looking at http://members.shaw.ca/lightwavetutorials/Main_Menu.htm and go from the basics, ask questions, etc. I been useing LW for a week now :P

That all depends, they could have nothing do with it, but they do as we all know that we use them in LW :)

Ahh, why not.. it is a great program to use. I dont know Maya yet to say much for it. Not saying I know LW really either :P

well if you were in real 3d production you'd know why we won't want to talk about it! :D i dunno i just don't like it... but i have to admit that LW is actually used alot in real 3d production (not movies tho... stupid custom packages :D)

Knowing how to use LW, Maya, XSI, 3Dsmax is helpful to learn those custom packages quicker.

That is very true, it would most likely bring people who really want to learn LW and such but dont want to practice it or learn it. Justh have them told how to do it and expect to own at it.
