He's never on AIM anymore so I never have a way of contacting him, he was logged on here earlier and I suppose got busy again so we'll see I suppose.

WetWired 2007-09-26 12:01 PM

Well, the next issue is which forums need leaders and who those will be. I'm not sure that someone should be a forum leader just for plagerizing others' content, though...

Demosthenes 2007-09-26 03:18 PM

Plagiarized or not, it creates discussion.

Kaneda 2007-09-26 03:31 PM

He's not saying it doesn't. Why give him any kind of special privilages for "creating discussion." And lets not forget this is D3V the one that was banned for a year...

Lenny 2007-09-26 03:40 PM

And? People change. You've got to admit that these days he's a lot different to how he was. Heck, I haven't seen the KKK picture for a while. That's got to be some measure of how he's changed.

!King_Amazon! 2007-09-26 03:40 PM

What was done in the past does not matter now, I'm proof of that. I've been banned more times than I remember.

It's not like we're giving him special priveleges. He doesn't get anything fun or cool. He gets to stick and move threads in a single forum that he's part of. It's not like that's anything special. It's more like tools than priveleges.

Kaneda 2007-09-26 03:43 PM

All true. Ya, even before I posted I knew that he has changed. I guess it really doesn't matter then. If he can't hurt anything then why not try it.

As stupid as it sounds, a specialized title is motivation for creating discussion, especially when you're assigned a forum whose topic you're interested in.

Kaneda 2007-09-26 03:54 PM

I hear that. If I was a Leader of say D2 for example I'd type up more guides and whatnot... not in this day and age though.

Picture this:

You have somebody that 'technically' isn't a Moderator, Staff, Admin, whatever, BUT they have some of the abilities, such-as Closing threads in their specific section, editing Titles, Turning them into stickies, editing Polls, whatever may be needed at the time in that specific section..

As well as being able to edit/move in their specific forum, possibly even made somewhat responsible to keep threads on-topic, in-depth threads should also be required to keep the general morale of their forum up, where-as if somebody was to be a Leader of the Entertainment and Sports section, they should provide news, analitical opinions on whatever may be posted in there, and keeping people up to par for the most part on what's going on. Etc. It's basically a Leader, there's a million and one ways to expand on this, but basically would you feel to have it be nice to have somebody step up for various parts on the forums to help out activity and keep things in-line and in order?

Vote.

I've been looking for that picture everywhere.

Yeah, I used to be able to move threads OUT of the D2 section, but I couldn't put them back IN.

 I'm sorry I left the link out at the top of that page... I did take the time to link and copy the whole thing together and then post it on here for easier access.

D3V 2007-09-27 07:07 AM

Oh, and another note. I never opted to even be a forum leader, I'd RATHER see other people step-up so that I don't have to do as much work. We hardly have any members contributing anything anymore, maybe a push as putting other people as forum leaders would maybe actually improve things around here.

Edit: Oh and WW, with a few seconds of searching I've found a few threads that if I were in your shoes, I could bitch at you, for BASICALLY the same thing.

Even here is a torrett site where you steal the actual episodes..

http://zelaron.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41871

But whatever, being negative about everything because we don't like the same things just makes you look ignorant. I can see more of Grav's side now.

WetWired 2007-09-27 12:37 PM

Actually, those were my own reviews, not ones I copied from someplace else. And in the case of the site, I add significant utillity; on my site, you can register series to watch and have a list of only new stuff you're watching.

!King_Amazon! 2007-09-27 12:50 PM

D3v is never wrong, WW.

Willkillforfood 2007-09-27 05:24 PM

WW owned you, D3v.

D3V 2007-10-02 03:12 PM

So fucking a few weeks later Chruser has nothing to input on this, I say we move on without his opinion.

Grav 2007-10-02 07:19 PM

Chruser is completely absorbed with his new high-maintanence industrial design school. I don't blame him, though.

If picking leaders is the problem, I can assign everyone for you.

WetWired 2007-10-02 09:13 PM

Alright then. Who'd like to nominate a forum leader?
