They should have Slippy, Peppy, Rob64, Crystal, Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow on the next Super Smash Bros.

Raziel 2002-05-30 01:49 PM

That would just be a little redundant.

He'd be like yoshi and captain falcon, plus maybe fox with that jet thing goin' on...sigh...i'm revealing too much about my "All in the Family" online fanfiction roots...thought I had gotten rid of that terrible habit
J-Bomb couldn't fly forever, he had to dip... after a while of flying he'd lose altitude and jet back up. And what about Mike Tyson... he had his own game on the NES(Punch-Out)... ear bite for B... :]... that would be funny as hell.

I think some FF chars should be on there (I DONT KNOW!)
I though Roy and Marth were OK though....Dr. Mario and Pichu and Mario and Lugia had to go...I just dont like em

GameCube 2002-06-24 10:20 AM

yea, there were too many pokemon.....

ZeroX 2002-06-24 11:06 AM

Mewtwo was a pretty strong char...I kicked ARSE on the first one...I'd keep going behind you then throw you off the stage....I seriously suck at Gamecube...I've played SSBM/Super Smash Brothers Melee and I cant seem to control my char too good....I always lose...Im not used to the controlers but Im like average....

Raziel 2002-06-25 12:48 AM

There couldn't have been any Final Fantasy characters in SSBM because Nintendo doesn't hold the rights to them.

GameCube 2002-06-30 09:43 AM

yea, true. they need permisson. like fox. he was made by rareware, not nintendo.

Raziel 2002-06-30 04:50 PM

I'm actually not quite sure whether or not they needed permission to use Donkey Kong also. The version of DK that they have been using for EVERYTHING for the last six years hs been based off the Donkey Kong Country model that Rare developed. I don't know if that means Rare owns the rights to the design or if Nintendo does.

GameCube 2002-07-22 06:49 PM

originally, DK was owned by nintendo but i think they gave Rare rights to make DK games. yea, the DK in SSB, Mario Kart and Melee was based on the DK fron Donkey Kong Country.

Raziel 2002-07-23 10:55 AM

Yeah, I've always been pretty sure that Rare owned the DK model from DKC, I just don't have any proof.

GameCube 2002-08-11 07:29 PM

have u tried their web site?

Raziel 2002-08-12 01:17 AM

No, but if the desperate need to find out overwhelms me, I'll go look.

GameCube 2002-08-12 02:26 PM

its fun to read the letters that rare gets.
