Just a Thought ( slap me if it has been suggested)Couldn't it be set up so that there is a pole in each thread so people can kinda see how the battles are turning out(like how many people vote for one person and how many people are for the other) or would that make it less interesting! I would believe that after a person votes on the pole, then they would explain their vote! which would be easier in judging!

The judging is based upon the quality of arguments, not how many people think a certain character would win. There have been battles in the past where one person has argued against three or four people and won because of his persuasiveness. We used a poll system in the beginning and most of the contributors requested that the option be removed from all future battles. Sorry, no dice.

Definately man. If it was like that, Seymour would've lost the first battle he was ever in. I was like the Lone Ranger against all the pricks who wanted to take him down.

Just think of it this way. Ten people say, "he'll/she'll win" and provide no support. One person argues against it, kinda spicing up the whole thing.

Of course People would post reasons why they would win and judging could be based on what's typed, and the poll would be for outsiders to give a small voice! But I understand where you're coming from. Well, I voted against seymour, but I have never played FFX so that's why. I'm kinda glad he won, though, because Mantis would have stood absolutely no chance in the second round of the tournament. By the way when does round 2 start? I'm gettin' impatient!!

Sorry about that. The judges just sent over the arena list for the next round, and once Raziel gets on, he will open the next Battle. Most likely within the next day or so.

Actually, I've only recieved MJ's votes on the arena selections. If you want me to just open up the next battle using that list, I'm entirely okay with that.

Hmm, interesting. I guess if the others don't send you a list soon, just use that list then. I did send all 3 of the judges a PM literally a few hours after you sent me a PM asking for the list, and that must have been close to a week ago.

Honestly, I have no idea what the delay is... I know a preliminary list of arenas was sent to Raziel from mjordan2nd, but no more battles have been started. Hopefully, they will start ASAP..

As soon as possible could mean in a minute or in a year, as long as that actually is, as soon as possible. This is certainly the case here.

The delay sucks, I agree, but it will start up again eventually once time is made by Raziel.

Activity has been scarce to say the least throughout this tournament. Myself and Raziel have been the bulk of the contribution... And we have both been off and on with life lately, so Zelaron has lost activity from us. That will change for me soon though.

What's going on? I realize some people are desperate for posts, but this is insane! I have been the last poster for days! And then, someone just comes along and posts one more time. Are you guys just waiting for that? Is there a certain number of posts thbat you want per battle?

Eh, there is no time limit or post limit for each battle. It is basically just a judgement call. Limits were set before but that was when activity was a lot higher.

I've PMed Raziel numerous times, and he is just being lazy. I guess it works both ways though.
