Yup, it was my grad night and I was quite happy! It is now over and I have cake and pizza in my stomach, a toy doggy that my niece and nephew gave me, and a Computer Tech Completion Certificate and HS Diploma a few feet away from me. Yay! Time to...not party. I'm going right back to programming. Yup, pretty much nothing changed.

Why did you do that?

Because fractals are cool. And Chruser's sig is an awesome php fractal generator.

On what terms? Color or because fractals never end.

That is a freakin' awesome picture! Was that generated by your program as well? And how long did it take?

Yes; I scaled up the iterations from 150 to 500 per pixel, and increased the resolution of the image from 500x120 px to 2048x1536 px. GDLib is not a very fast platform for fractal rendering, so it took around 2-3 minutes to render it on my Q6600. The Zelaron server requires an approximately 8 times longer time span to render my signature than my desktop system does. The same time factor seems valid for larger images. With a faster algorithm created in C++, I think the rendering time could be scaled down to a few seconds on my home system.

On another note, I think that both Fractal eXtreme and Xaos use fast multi-core algorithms for fractal rendering. I haven't been able to output huge images with them yet though, but I haven't really looked closely either.

We intentionally avoid hyphenating the last word on a page, so this is a feature, not a bug.

The idea is that the reader doesnt have to turn forwards/back a page in order to read the first/last word on the page. Is this something that you would like control over?
