TV is for The Office(US), Video Games, and Anime DVD's.

Jessifer 2007-04-19 10:23 AM

Ew. The Office?

Lenny 2007-04-19 10:44 AM

If you're going to watch The Office, at least watch the original UK version with wassisname...

!King_Amazon! 2007-04-19 10:54 AM

What does everything in America originate in England or something?

Lenny 2007-04-19 10:56 AM

Of course it does!! It all goes back to sometime in the 1500s, obviously.

The Office does, for show. It was originally a two series comedy over here, cult hit and all that jazz. Then some American company bought the rights (everyone who did it wanted to move on to something else) and started making the American version.

And I still can't remember who the damn writer is...

Jessifer 2007-04-19 10:59 AM

Wouldn't doubt it. I mean, Whose Line Is It Anyway originated over there. <3 that show.

Atnas 2007-04-19 04:04 PM

The US Office is hilarious, have you watched it? I don't want to ruin the US one by watching the British one, and it ruining my enjoyment of the show.

I like it for the reason it is American and everything is familiar.

Yes, Nothing is ever originally American. Except Global Warming...

Lenny 2007-04-19 04:18 PM

Haha! DOn't want to ruin the American one by watching the British one... that made me laugh. :p

RICKY GERVAIS!! That's the fella who wrote it! :D

If it lets you, then watch a few of those clips.

I think US Office is funnier. Or maybe that's just because the actors are eye-pleasing.

Lenny 2007-04-19 05:39 PM

You Americans, eh?

To be honest, I don't see why the actors have to be eye-pleasing. Go into any office, anywhere, and I doubt you'll find a bunch of really eye-pleasing workers - yeah, maybe the odd one or two, but never a whole office.

Goodlookinguy 2007-04-19 06:15 PM

Does this have something to do with cheese?

You mean you like watching ugly people on TV?

I don't, nessisarly, believe that is what he ment by that, though I could be wrong.

Atnas 2007-04-19 07:03 PM

Okay. But I'd much rather look at the US Jim and Pam, not sure of their UK names.

!King_Amazon! 2007-04-19 07:42 PM

British humor is not funny. This is why we keep stealing their shows, to make them funny.

Atnas 2007-04-19 08:01 PM

Well put. However British think American shows are dull.

Lenny 2007-04-20 12:52 PM

Too right!

And I was saying that a real life office would have ugly people, not the eye-friendly actors in the American version.

Vollstrecker 2007-04-20 05:24 PM

There actually have been quite a few good TV shows taken from British TV.

Lenny 2007-04-20 05:27 PM

You sound surprised, Voll! :p

Vollstrecker 2007-04-20 05:30 PM

I probably replied to the wrong person, I just ran into work a few minutes ago after a mile hike or so to my car in the rain.

A bit disoriented is all. ;)
