I don't quite understand the theory that Nintendo is the only company that makes lots of child-oriented games. Look at games like Spyro, Crash Bandicoot, and Ape Escape. Those were some of the most advertised games released on the Playstation. They were definitely pushed more heavily than Silent Hill or Evil Dead, both of which were great games I might add. Every video game console in history has had it's share of child-oriented games. It's just that most people pass EVERYTHING on the N64 off as being "made for kids", which is simply not true.

But, by the same token, it's not Banjo-Kazooie and SM64 that bring in all of the N64's profit either.
true. many people want FPS and RPGs
Too bad there were only two actual RPGs on the N64....and only one of them was even close to respectable.
which one is that
Aidyn Chronicles. I heard it was pretty good, but never played it myself. Quest 64 was the other one, and it was just horrible.
yea, that game was pretty bad
Hmmmm...favorite game eh?
For me it would be Ogre Battle 64. It's a RPG with some RTS worked into it. Very complex, but once you understand what's going on, it's the bomb shiznit. -PozerPunk (Magnus) |
it's also one of the longer games for n64, at a suggested minimum of 40 hours.
Perfect Dark is a really long game to beat all 4 difficulties and all cheats
I never saw Ogre Battle 64 in-store anywhere. I really wanted to try it out, but nobody ever seemed to have it in stock.
