Here is my theory on why activity is so bad.

This place is to big.

If you held a Startrek (only because they are completely badass) Convention that could house 500,000 fans/trekkies but only 3 showed up then there is a very strong possibility that the activity at the convention is going to be poor. You will see just about everything you want to see in on go because there is no one standing in your way. No one to slow you down, no line to shake Capt Bicards hand.

The same goes for Zelaron.

You have this big wonderful forum of things everyone wants to talk about. Yet, only six to ten people actually use the forums. There is no sidebar conversation to slow people's search down. There is no big debate on why ps3 is better then xbox360 (correction, I think there was) but, there is no rivalary between the users. Something that is going to cause people to slow down as they peruse (sp) the website.

How to fix it!

Simply condence the forums, into a much smaller version of what it is now. Think about it, if that Startrek convention managed to get 15 fanboys, and the convention was only made to house 5, activity would be crazy.. there would be lines, conjunctions - places where people had to wait. Things to slow us down!

TL;DR

Add things on the forums to slow people's searches, and condense this illustrious forum to a smaller wonderful version.

Starcraft 2 will be out pretty soon, maybe last legit shot

Don't count on it. I honestly don't see much activity coming from Starcraft 2, or at least if any does come from it it will die out pretty quickly. Our starcraft forum was never popular. There's only so much you can really talk about in regards to something like that. Diablo 3 will be our only real hope, IMO.

If we could incorporate a guild through Zelaron there could be a chance, but if not, you may be right.

I think we tried a Zelaron guild for Starcraft at least once and it was basically an epic failure. But we didn't have many members interested, either, which I suppose is the main factor. Here's hoping SC2 is incredibly addictive.

Has there been any further word on DIII??? I will definitely be playing that!

I guarantee I could single-handedly create a SC2 guild and bring in active users to this forum.

I was creating guilds at the age of 12/13 in Starcraft.

..but, this all depends on if I even get the game. Halo: Reach has my full attention at the moment.

Halo reach psh. Starcraft 2 looks pretty dope from the videos that've been posted on Youtube lately. Getting good at it won't take very long, and creating and managing a full-functioning guild and eventually spawning off tournaments wouldn't even be that hard.

The latest speculation on Diablo 3 is that it will not be released in 2010. The following year could be become a possibility.

The thing is, Starcraft 2 will be released this year, as well as another World of Warcraft expansion (Cataclysm) possibly later on this year before the holidays. I would expect the Diablo 3 beta to possibly come out by the end of this year though.

So it has been since the beginning, and so it will always be.
