It's time for yet another update!

Ba, ha ha ha ha! |
The Zelaron folders are being unusually lazy, it would seem.
Out of interest, I may install Ubuntu on my Xbox 360 to see what it can accomplish in Folding@home. Its CPU won't be able to match the performance of the PS3 Cell processor, but its Xenos GPU is more powerful than its PS3 counterpart. However, I do suspect that such an endeavor will become more of a RRoD@home experience than anything. |
Also, I tried to run the fah client on my DS Lite, although the requirement for "flat" files resulted in problems:
BINFMT_FLAT: bad magic/rev (0x1010100, need 0x4) BINFMT_FLAT: bad magic/rev (0x1010100, need 0x4) fah6: applet not found Essentially, I would have to compile fah it as a "flat" executable via ELF or COFF, but unfortunately, the source code for fah isn't publicly available. Anyway, I'll investigate it more when I get back home. |
We're never getting into the top 100 at this rate!

To add on!

Got it to work!

i never got it to work but now im getting a new computer :)

I'm starting up again over the holiday. I plan to have my computer on 24/7

That fluctuates too much based on how many new teams there are. If no new teams are created and we gain 600 places, it will make us look just as successful as if we've lost 200 places on the lead while 800 new (potentially inactive) teams have been created. |
Almost done my first experiment. 250K steps. Sheesh! Wallow's was only 1.5K!
|
What in the hell are you running Asamin? The points you obtained for one fold was freakin' epic!
Update Again! A lot of crap has been added. Active CPUs within 50 days: 8 (+2) Grand Score: 19264 (+2111) Work Unit Count: 79 (+3) Team Ranking (incl. aggregate): 19851 of 148242 (+934)

I got mine to work, working on my first work unit, which is 500k steps. I will rule you all.
|
yay i got it to work
|
Both mine have been 250K steps :(
|
ha mines 150
|
I kid you not, I just got one here at work that is 5 million steps. Teh ownage.

dude mine is just 150 each im on my second one allready
|
I'm on a 500 step fold, yet it's taking longer than the 1500 step I finished yesterday.

No one can beat me!
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/awards/c...0-2&t=wus&bg=3 http://fah-web.stanford.edu/awards/c...0000000-2&bg=3 I screwed with their output to make it work to my advantage. These are not edited pictures, these are directly from Folding@home. |
In case you're wondering what the properties of the protein that you're folding are (and how many credits you'll get for completing the work unit), you can find a complete list of all proteins and work units here:
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/psummary.html Furthermore, it's great to see that there are quite a few new folders on the Zelaron team now. Keep it up! Quote:
At this rate, Asamin will have you beat by approximately now. |
dang i got a 2000 step flod worth 180 points
|
How will I have him beat? I don't think I am doing nething he is not. But I am keeping my comp on all the time and my mac seems to be doing them faster then Wallow's comp.

Don't Screw with me. You'll be knocked off your high-horse in the next few days as I earn tons of points. Just keep watching people. Especially pay attention to the number of CPUs being used. EDIT: Macs Suck! |
Lets see you get that number of points with one cpu! I have only one!!!!!! What now!

: ) It is only one CPU. I only have one computer Folding. Don't Screw with Windows/Linux, and the AMD Quad Core. How did I do it? Running (All at the same time) Normal CPU Folding@home GPU Folding@home SMP Folding@home x 3 |
This would be an interesting fah platform for anyone with a bit of spare cash:

Wow, I've had my computer on for more than 72 hours, and I'm still on the same fold that is at 305/500 right now. I hope it gets me a lot of points, because I don't know why it's taking so long.
|
Lol, I forgot the power cable to my comp at home so my fold that was 96% complete is just getting to finish now.
