Hmm, I do not know what is expected out of the new scrapmeat on this site - but I can list some of my general interests:

Adolf Hitler
Cancer
Boats
Super Metroid
8-bit inspired Art
Phyrexia
Books
Religion
Nihilism

Other than that - I am quite random and I like Lost.

Hail Phyrexia!

DUDE WHAT THE HECK THIS IS SO WRONG TO WIRTE

Pappenheimer refers to a man called Gottfried Heinrich Graf zu Pappenheim, he was a general I believe, for the Holy Roman Empire. He fought in the Thirty-Years War, along with lots of other guys - including the Swedes. My knowledge on this has been disremembered and fragmented by the year(s) at this art school. In swedish the phrase is "Känn din Pappenheimer", I cannot really explain the meaning - possibly due to poor language skills or something... But I do have this quote I found on wikipedia (also he was a field marshal). Here is the quote:

Quote:

His name forms the key part of the Czech and German colloquialism; "we know our fellow Pappenheim's". It is used to imply tongue-in-cheek that someone has, is or will be acting in a way that is completely expected.
@Chruser: You know, we have television-technology in the lower levels of the "brook falls"-station. Although it's halls are mostly occupied by that "Atom-man", weird guy - maybe weirder than you. He should be avoided. Lost... Why do you mock me with these questions when you already know the truth!?

@King Amazon: Thank you for changing your avatar, I can now browse this forums without fear of sanity loss (1d6/1d20).

Also, on the subject of Adolf Hitler - my interest in him is not as an historian.

Ooooh? Care to elaborate?

No problem.

That is the verisimilitude. It was mildly entertaining to scare him last week. What kind of extremophile are you?

Yawgmoth 2007-05-17 04:47 PM

ARGH MY EYES, THE GOGGLES DO NOTHING!

@Lenny: Because Hitler fucking rocks!
The New Adventures of Hitler, part 2.
He is also interesting as a person who in the eyes of many people personifies "evil", a concept which I find interesting.

EDIT: Psychrophile

Big words aren't cool. Learn to use under 8 letters otherwise I'll get scared.

Thanatos 2007-05-18 07:32 AM

Why do you dislike his avatar so much?

I've wondered that about a lot of people.

Seriously, it looks like a pussy. If that's "disturbing" or "ugly" or "scary" or "stupid" to you, you're probably gay.

It looks like a pussy. Get over it.

Lenny 2007-05-18 10:28 AM

I still reckon it looks like a strange white dog screwing up it's eyes.

Thanatos 2007-05-18 10:29 AM

It only sort of looks like a pussy. Just looks like a mishapen flower to me.

Orchids usually look more like pussies than the one in my avatar, I just couldn't find a good shot from the front.

Thanatos 2007-05-18 10:37 AM

BUT IT'S SO REVOLTING!!!!
ahh!!!!

Jessifer 2007-05-18 10:53 AM

I like it. *shrug*

Yawgmoth 2007-05-18 03:10 PM

It's more that it looks like some sort of Lovecraftian horror. Also, it is too white for the orchidness to be really clearly visible.

Lenny 2007-05-18 04:52 PM

Oooooh! Another one who has heard of Lovecraft, and probably the first to admit to reading it. :p

Do you read other Fantasy books, as well? In fact, what's the main genre you read?

Yawgmoth 2007-05-19 07:32 AM

I guess I mostly read horror/fantasy. Although, I try to read all sorts of books, it's just that I became interested in first Lovecraft and then Stephen King so I've read lot's of their works. Thus, I guess they tint the scale. Right now I'm in the middle of a project to read "classics", just read Catcher in the Rye and I'm beginning on Ulysses.

Books = Power = ???? = Profit. Or random.

Also, maybe I should try to post in other threads than my introduction-thread. But this forum is to big, and I am Lazyness, Destroyer of Worlds.

!King_Amazon! 2007-05-19 09:44 AM

If you don't post in another thread by tomorrow I'll ban you.

Jessifer 2007-05-19 09:52 AM

Well if that's not incentive to post, I don't know what is.

You do know Chruser listens to bread, don't you?

Yawgmoth 2007-05-20 03:25 AM

You will never take me alive! Never, you weird avatar-guy, you!

@Willkillforfood: Yes, I saw him do that. I even listened to the music he recorded from them. It was interesting what you can do with worthless bread.

Willkillforfood 2007-05-20 10:36 AM

Ethiopians wouldn't find it worthless! All they have to eat are bibles.

Slyvr 2007-05-23 07:53 PM

First of all, greetings yawg!
Second...beware the turkeys
