Well!!
The Magic ended up winning game 6 in Orlando, and are facing off in the FINALS tomorrow night against the Lakers. I'm so damn excited, I can't believe the Magic actually have made it this far, and now they're going to be getting their ballin-ass PG Jameer Nelson back in the lineup, hopefully. This is going to be a great series, both teams are pretty fairly matched up. Let's see how it turns out. My prediction: Magic in game 7. |
Lakers in 6. If they don't have their game together, Lakers in 7.
Btw, Lebron is a sore loser. Get the fuck over it yah drama queen. |
Guess the Magic went 2-0 against the Lakers this season. I'm pullin for the Magic in this one fellas fuck the Lakers.
|
Game 1: Lakers 100, Magic 75
I think Stan Van Gundy is going to panic in ensuing games trying to stop Kobe. |
Wow, the game last night was actually a great game to watch, just didn't turn out that well for the Magic. I'm hoping the Magic can get their damn act together and start to win some games..
|
The magic are clearly outmatched. The Lakers played poorly yesterday and still managed to win. I'm almost thinking there might be a sweep.
By the way, Hedo played quite cheaply last night; lowering his shoulder and what not. |
The next 3 games are in Orlando. Don't count them out just yet.

I'm still claiming Orlando in 7. |
Damn that's right! I forgot that they went to 2-3-2 format for the finals. If the Lakers are on their game I can see it being a sweep. I'm excited to watch the game tonite.
|
Orlando shot 75% in the first HALF. 67% in the overall game? Kobe was missing from the freethrow line. The game was excellent IMO. The series is now 2-1. But the Lakers still only lost by 4 points, still too close of a game really. Honestly, they played good enough of game two to win it but the cards just didn't fall their way. Damn, the NBA Playoffs this year have been awesome, I haven't been able to enjoy watching basketball on TV like this in a long damn time, must be that homerism kicking in.

Being a biased Lakers fan, I can tell you that Howard needs to be controlled. I can count 5+ times that he basically shoved Gasol, with his hands, out of the way for a rebound. Also, Lee and Pietrus need to be controlled because they are manhandling Kobe. And by manhandling they are smacking him all over and he's not getting any calls. Then again Joe Crawford was there. Kudos to the Magic for winning and shooting extremely well, but they need to stop playing thug ball just to win. That's why I hate the Celtics.
|
lol@you whining about Kobe fucking Bryant not getting any foul calls.
 |
So you do agree that Howard is manhandling each big man from LA illegally? And Kobe got fouled almost every time he went to the hoop.

Okay HoH i'm going to have to stop your little happy-insolence-train right here on the tracks. If you are going to complain about officiating, that's cool and dandy, but you need to take your head out of your ass (no flame intended). The officiating job on both sides of the ball has been essentially horrendus in the finals, but if anything it has been the Lakers that have been getting the good side of the Refs. I'll admit there have been tons of little ticky-tack-fouls, but that's just how the damn game has always been played, nothing is going to change. Even the Messiah himself Kobe has been guilty on numerous occasions, committing the foul and there is just no calls, it's stupid. Kobe brings too much attention to the game to foul out, if he sits on the bench, the broadcasting companies lose too much money. I'm not saying there is cheating going on, not even close to that, but there definitely is an apparent bias. I just hope the two teams can play a nice clean game, and the Magic can pull out another win tomorrow. We'll see what's up. |
Bullshit the Lakers have been getting the good side of the refs. Although you are on the Magic train, so I guess they are perfect in every way, shape, and form. You're entitled to be ignorant. And you're right about there being a bias. They are letting Howard shove people out of the way to get rebounds and shots. That's bully ball, and if they called everything he did then he would be out in 3 quarters. He's getting the benefit of the referees. And Kobe does get called for fouls that he actually commits. Pietrus and Lee are swatting his arms every time he gets the ball and have to resort to cheating to stop him. You even agreed with me that Hedo was playing cheaply and still is.
I'll agree that the Magic need to clean up their game, and that the officials need to work better at balancing the officiating. By the way, how many of Lamar Odom's blocks were called fouls simply because Howard had the ball? You're just ignorant, D3V. If you even watched the game you would know. Lakers are going to destroy the Magic. |

You're right, if they called Howard for everything you complain about, he would be out in 3 quarters. And so would the rest of each team. Refs are paid to determine what is intentional and what is not. The Lakers are a team full of actors that get bumped and go flying accross the court like the other players are some superhuman bitch ass pussy pounding machines, it's hilarious to watch. Quote:

IF I EVEN WATCHED THE GAME? you can't be serious. Who made this thread numbnuts? IF I EVEN WATCHED THE GAME. You can think all day long that the Lakers might actually pull this one out, but there is still a lot of basketball to be played, and nobody is in or out at this point in time. The magic have gotten off to a bad start, and hell, they could've won game 2. You would be singing quite the different tune right now, hell you'd probably blame the refs even more if the Lakers were down 2-1, instead being up. Ask anyone that doesn't live in a state where the temperature declines to the point where their intelligence actually drops and they'll tell you, they'll tell you that you're wrong. |

I saw the other side of the argument you presented and quickly corrected it for truth's sake. The Magic, just like the Rockets and Nuggets, have to resort to cheating in order to try to win. You didn't prove me wrong. Also, I'll disregard your very skewed view of soccer. And you are flaming outside of the flame forum by attacking me and my love of the sport of soccer. I'll let you babble about how much more you know about basketball than I do since you have nothing better to do with your time. I know that basketball is a physical sport, but you're not allowed to actually grab people and throw them out of the way. Obviously you need to take a closer look at my post, ignoramus. I'm finished arguing about this because you're the type of person who feeds off of stirring problems up, and no matter if you are proven wrong you will still argue. THE END. |

And you're right, you should just stop arguing now, you obviously don't know what you're talking about and just need to save yourself a headache and surf back over and watch some MLS. |
Wow, the magic can't win even when the referees are blatantly homering the Lakers. Yeah Kobe got away with an elbow, but how many Lakers got hit in the face with no call?! Also, Pietrus should have been ejected and given a flagrant 2, not a flagrant 1 for that double fist kidney punch on Gasol's final basket. Completely unneccessary.
Lakers up 3-1, suck it D3V. Edit: You seriously neg-repped me for these posts? What are you 8? Get a fucking life! |
Lakers win it 4-1. GG NO RE Orlando. Better luck next time.
