But congrats on the progress... wish I had money like that to spend on my car...

Yeah, the 6g78 motor is a great alternative for the crappy little 3.0 i've got now. I believe there are a few problems with the swap. The mounts are off i'm almost positive, the transmission does bolt up and it will work just great, BUT, the ECU is very different and if the newer model is under the MIVEC head design it won't function properly unless you change out the ECU as well, which will run a ton of money = not worth it.

But no, at this point I am not going to do a motor swap, I had too many problems in too short amount of time so I had to cancel that idea and just keep my damn car running so I can continue to have a job =]

Well the car has been long gone now for a few months (since August I believe) and i've moved on to an '04 (Dodge). I finally decided that I had enough bs-ing around with it so much, and had to upgrade to something with under 30k miles and a warranty. Been runnning great the last few months! I've also upgraded to an all new stereo which is under warranty as well.

15" Kicker L7 with an Mmats d1600.2 - Great little setup, and i'm now finally getting around to purchasing a new box (3.5-4.5 cu/ported). The distance the bass travels is much greater than the two 12's I had before, but the box is really too small so once I upgrade i'll be taking more pictures and a few flex videos.
