so you like beer, eh? no offence but, alright titusfied, tell me, would you like to have the time of you life drinking things that will turn you into a person like my grandpa who has parkinson's disease? in case you don't know what it is, here is a definition for you.

Par·kin·son's disease; noun
A progressive nervous disease occuring most often after the age of 50, associated with the destruction of brain cells that produce dopamine and characterized by muscular tremor, slowing of movement, partial facial paralysis, peculiarity of gait and posture, and weakness.

oh, and by the way, beer can and most likely, if not for sure, kill brain cells(as does all things containg alcohol). so in short you could end up like my grandpa who couldn't speak in a way that you could understand him. he couldn't move without falling down, and he couldn't do anything but move his eyes..... so be a man, yes? live to be about 50 and then lose all chance of knowing your grand kids and possibly you own kids as well. it was hard to see my grandpa live like he did. i never knew him at all :( so go and drink beer and die outside w/out dying inside we'll see if you regret it then.

slaynish 2006-02-14 08:43 PM

Science you dont understand the extremity of his situation(titusfied).

He is a young man, not a man. But im just a kid so i cant really call him by a young man. Anyways, Titus wont be drinking his whole life. He wont grow up an alcoholic, seriously, i'd do him right now. He just drinks because he likes to party and he likes to party becuase he likes nice bitches and hoes all up in his grill and what not.

Take it easy, he was joking.

sorry, i just don't see the point in drinking alchohol. stuff like that(and smoking) ruined my gramps life and i don't want that to happen to anyone else. his later life was pure hell. sides isn't drinking addicting? correct me if im wrong, but doesn't that mean that you can't stop?

Well, you are probably too young. Trust me, not everyone is a fuck up that becomes an alcoholic after drinking a few beers. I'm 24 dude, in the prime of my life, and I enjoy beer. It's not ruining my life.

Although, I'd probably murder a couple priests just to get a jug of wine. Is that so bad? Does that mean I have a problem? (Sciencekid, this is sarcasm, just in case you're too fucking dense to pick up on the subtleties.)

Grav 2006-02-15 08:25 AM

Silly Ditus. You don't need to drink alcohol! You can have all the 13 year old ass you want in the form of slaynish.

Sooner or later you're gonna have to be exposed to the real world man.. Stop living such a sheltered life maybe?

Anyway, you can stop doing anything that is addicting. Just because it's addicting doesn't mean you'll never stop. That's what rehab is for!

Jamesadin 2006-02-15 01:13 PM

And it is also key to note that there is no chemical addictions in alcohol (to my knowledge), it is all a mental addiction.

I drink socially, and I like it. I don't plan to stop any time soon, but I sure as hell know I am not addicted.

PS: Are you sure that excessive drinking can lead to Parkinsons? I believe that it is a purely genetic disorder.

Lenny 2006-02-15 01:14 PM

Bashing your head against a paddock door kills brain cells. Especially if you manage to brain yourself going into the stable area, and then on the way out.

Rehab is for quitters!

It's amazing what people can get away with these days. Take Pete Doherty. He's just been charged and found guilty of 7 counts of drug abuse and whatnot, for something like the 5th time, and he's been sentenced to a year of rehab, and monthly checkups. Not much for a druggie.

sciencekid 2006-02-15 04:16 PM

Thanatos: actually for some ppl's addictions, in rehab they just get them addicted to something else that is less dangerous while the withdraw happens.

Titusfied: yes I can detect sarcasm, but sometime i play along and deliver a kick of realism. and that's good that you aren't addicted to it and can hold your own. also don't cuss at me, i never cussed at you. :)

Jamesadin: i'm 99% sure. i'll have to talk to my grandma to be 100% sure that it is a genetic thing or not. i do know however that my grandpa had a pretty bad lifestyle when it came to burning brain cells, although he could play like, 12 chess games at once. or at least that's what i remember my dad telling me. anyway the cause if it, so far as i know are a combination of different things, which can include defective genes.(i just did a search on the web).

I'm not so sure about that, because alcoholism is genetic. Native Americans are very prone to be alcoholics because they went thousands of years without alcohol and then when they got it it pwned them, at least if I remember the story right. The point is, it's not just a mental addiction.

He want mad at me. He was mad at the girl that was trying to hook up with me that night cause he wanted a piece. Oh and i found my phone in a middle of a field. But the sad thing is that i already got my new one and this one is deactivited. By law i have to send it back and that costs an extra 20 bucks.

And i have stopped drinking for a while. Well at least till my spring break.
