There's a few more comics about it as well.
|
abyssion is the best one there but it isin't that catchy.
but hey i dunno anything about naming bands. try something else |
Out of the two, I like Abyssion better, but in my humble opinion I don't think either of the two are too catchy.

But seriously, AHC is awesome. Listen to their debut, The War of Art. One of my favorite albums of all time. Their new album, The Feeding is pretty good too. Quote:
Listen to the tracks "Shock", "Edgecrusher", "Zero Signal", "Replica" or "Archetype" and you'll get an idea of what my new band sounds like. Quote:

I voted wrong... *Hits self* I once heard the name Abyssian before, and I've liked it ever since. What's an "o" instead of an "a"?
And, for a side note, it was the name of a species on Star Wars. |
Stock of random stereotypical-to-you names I came up with:
Unsakred Vision Rammed Vice Descentor Nolen Soul Lurid Space I like Rammed Vice. Not because I like ramming penises into asses, but because it sounds bold. |

That, and all I remember is one song that infuriated me because the one guitarist was playing some high-part that clashed so badly, I wanted to strangle him. |
Sword Chucks!
Damn, that would be funny if you became famous and were named that . . |
Yeah, it'd be a barrell of monkeys. But convincing the other band members to name the band "Sword Chucks", considering that I'm most likely the only guy in the band that would even get the reference, would be like trying to convince D3V (or Ash Williams if you prefer, Nothing) to lose the mullet.
|
I think it would be worth a shot though, you'd have the extra internet publicity to help you get going.
|
Because we all know that the same people on the internet who would get the reference would be the same people who would actually purchase a cd.
|
That isn't exactly what I meant, asshat.
|
No, but it was a pretty snappy comeback.
|
Seriously speaking, I think Deus Machine sounds a lot better, but I'm afraid those who know what the first word means, will mistake you for a Christian rock band.
Another promblem, is how do you even pronounce that word? Everyone I know who's played 'Deus Ex' (which really only makes up my father and brother), pronounces it "dooce", but I think it's spoken more like, "day-us". I don't know. |
I've always said Day-us.
|
Well if he were to ever get on the radio, just let the DJ's know how its pronounced. When they say it correctly on air, it'll catch on.

Yeah, same here.
|
I'd end up pronouncing it 'dooce'...I'm kinda surprised that everyone but those who learn Latin doesn'ty pronounce it as 'dooce'.
