I honestly wouldn't care if Kerry had lost, if Bush wasn't continuously fucking up foreign relations and eliminating our freedoms at home. Kerry wasn't that great, but Bush is driving us into the ground, which is why people voted Kerry.

Also, Mantra, Checks and Balances mainly operate when all 3 branches of government aren't dominated by the same party. The President isn't going to Veto many of his own party's Bills/etc...

You are very wrong and misguided.

And the system of checks and balances isn't going to stop Bush except in some extreme circumstances, seeing as how he has senate and house majority control.

Oh, and don't tell me to shut up because it doesn't affect me, because it HAS.

Oh, all *1000* of them who died in the war? Please, come back when we have a real death toll, like in World War 2, not some pussy modern war.

On top of that, anyone who died in this war probably deserved it. Why? Because this wasn't a draft war, all the people who died decided to join the army, and anyone who willingly goes into the armed forces is an idiot. Why? Because they found themselves in their teenage-to-mid-20's with no skills and no talents, so they had to do something. Why? Because they're complete idiots.

On top of that, unless Bush passes some crazy anti-piracy law, there's absolutely nothing he can do that will effect me, short of a draft, in which case I'll just say I'm gay.

Medieval Bob 2004-11-03 04:09 PM

Um... they let gays in the military now... You're SOL.

It's don't ask, don't tell. So I'll just break the rule, and tell.

Listen to Boy George really loud. They're sure to kick you out then.

NonGayMan 2004-11-03 04:26 PM

To all of you who believe Bush is an idiot, think again. He's just not a good public speaker. He went to Yale, getting mostly C's, which is all in all fairly adequate. And he flew fighter jets.

The military tests also show he has a higher IQ than Kerry.
http://www.starrjournal.com/commonse...es/001191.html

Here are a few things Bush has accomplished while in the White House (there a more, but these are the most important in my opinion). Fifty million people have been liberated from despotic regimes in Iraq & Afghanistan. Health Savings Accounts under the Bush administration allow Americans to own and control their own health care. Bush has expanded rural health centers in rural areas that serve approximately 6.1 million people. He has saved Americans $35 billion in drug costs over the next ten years by strengthening competition between generic and brand-name drugs, and created a Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit to help seniors pay for their medicines. Also, if the President's tax reliefs, which have helped grown a strong economic recovery that has spurred almost 1.5 million new jobs, were not made permanent, the federal individual income tax revenue percentage of real GDP would have went up to atleast 10%.

I also doubt there will be a draft.

Titusfied 2004-11-03 05:33 PM

There will not be a draft.

Clearly, there are differing opinions, but I'm sure of the 59,095,510 people that voted for Bush, they aren't all idiots that can't see the good in what Bush has done. It isn't all good, but there was plenty of it. Hell, at one point during his last 4 years, he had the highest approval rating of any President in American history. Sorry, we must still be brainwashed..

That was largely due to 9/11, though. once people came off of that, his approval rating dropped again.

Grav 2004-11-03 05:42 PM

I found this amusing, if it's accurate.

Titusfied 2004-11-03 05:59 PM

That is quite amusing, but how they came about those numbers is beyond me. I for one, have never taken an official IQ test, nor has anyone I've ever encountered (Well, maybe 1 or 2 at most.).

Oh, and I found this quite amusing, and it is true:

Notice the female ratio? And of those, most were Kerry. Hillary can win in 2008.

Now there is some REAL fucking liberal radio... not like... National Public Radio... or whatever the fuck "liberals" listen to these days.... Haha National Public Radio... more like... National Republican Radio... fags.

Shining Knights 2004-11-03 07:39 PM

It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose.

SurrealWaking 2004-11-03 07:48 PM

The reason you haven't been affected by Bush's decisions yet is because it takes more than 4 years for things to start to take major effect. We're just hitting some of the more major issues caused by Clinton. At least, I think so...

KagomJack 2004-11-03 08:27 PM

It's over guys, Bush won. Kerry lost. I don't like the end results, but I can't change it.

Lmao you wana know WHY Hillary cannot win? Because there are WAYYYYYYYYYYY to many hardcore rednecks in the south that would think you were speaking in chinese if you tried to tell them that a feminist, liberal was running for the presidency.

Slim 2004-11-03 08:32 PM

Let me get this straight, anyone that doesn't think Bush is a God is a liberal, right zagggon?
