Might be buying a Sony Vaio. Sure wish it was a macbook pro.
|
Now hold on there! Before you shell out on the branding for a Sony Vaio or a MacBook Pro, think about one of Vizio's new line of laptops.
No, seriously. I'd play with one in a Walmart first (some reviewers love the keyboard and touchpad, some reviewers hate them), but the build quality is supposedly very good, the specs are pretty awesome, and the price, for what you get, is brilliant. They also look very nice. As much as I hate the idea of buying a laptop (I'm a desktop man, with a three monitor setup, and a crazy expensive tower - I like the options it all gives me, and I'm yet to find myself in the position where I need the portability afforded by a laptop), I'd kill for a UK launch. |
I'm in the same boat as you, Lenny. I have a laptop, but it was a gift. I don't even use it for portability either, for the most part. Its primary use is for me to control my desktop via VNC while I'm laying in bed. Desktop computers are far superior. If you want a portable computer, go for a tablet or a smartphone IMO.

the macbook is actually one im fixing up (i have laptop repair experience from my job) but for 40 dollars for it and it needing only a hard drive ram and charger i couldnt go wrong

My life is going to get crazy pretty quickly.

The new one is based on the book much more closely. The old one was an ad campaign for a product that ended up failing miserably. They are both admirable in their own ways.

Secondly, what about Sweeney Todd? Very good film. Personally, I feel that the argument should be that Burton has not started this decade well. |

He mainly just needs to change things up a bit. He's helping Johnny Depp ruin his career. Sweeney Todd was great, though. Depp is way too versatile to keep playing the same sorts of characters, though.
|
Depp, in my opinion, is one of the best actors out there. He is extremely versatile and can become someone so far from himself you'd barely recognize him. For instance, the first time I saw a pirates movie, I didn't know Depp was Jack Sparrow. I was really surprised when I found out that he was.

He hasn't really impressed me lately. The vampire movie made me lose faith in his interests to develop more as an actor.
Then again it may just have been "well fuck it, I'll do it" movie. |
I think for whatever reason him and Burton think if they work together then magic will happen. Most of Depp's best movies haven't been in the last decade.

Fuck Differential Equations. The most fucking useless math there is.

This will most likely repeat over and over. FUCK DIFF EQ! I FUCKING HATE THIS SHIT! WHEN WOULD I EVER NEED TO KNOW THIS?

What the hell am I going to do. That place was a second home, and I left. It was for the best but I miss it so much already...

Diff EQ?
