Well yeah, swallowing salt water is not good for you, and yeah, swallowing it in large amounts probably is deadly.

It's called the dead sea because pretty much nothing lives in it besides microscopic bacteria. Fish can't survive in it because it's so incredibly salty. 2nd saltiest body of water in the world if I remember right.
