Yes, but a reality of the internet. If you really want to see it at its fullest, get WoW, make a female night elf, get to the nearest capital city, take off all of your clothes and dance, and say you're a girl. Dudes will give you tons of money, items, all kinds of shit, ask you to cyber, ask for your phone number, ask for you picture, nude or otherwise, etc. It's crazy.

People that act that way on the internet are the same guys that are too scared to even talk to a girl back in this place we call reality.

I did it once just to see what would happen and that's what happened. I don't need gold or items though, so it's not like I whore myself out to make money on WoW. It was more of a social experiment.

However, if you were starting a new character on a server you don't play on already, it would be a really good way to get started off. I probably had like 50g after I was done, a bunch of cloth for low levels, random gears and lots of different colored shirts to wear. It really was surprising.

It pretty much has to do with that "anonymity factor." On the internet, if you get rejected, you can just change your name or move on to the next random person you want to hit on. Rejection doesn't hurt on the internet.
