I like the idea of leaving them access to the Flame Forum (as they seem to post there almost exclusively when they can; out of over 60 spam posts I only saw one outside of the Flame Forum) and having any new member who posts in the Flame Forum automatically banned or stealth banned or somesuch |

If you wanted to do some sort of more advanced captcha like you had before but somewhat simplified, you could potentially make all new users have some "unapproved" state where they cannot make posts until they post a message here in the chatbox or something |
