[15:39] WetWired: The first query would add a strike and the second would retrieve a count of stikes in the past hour

[15:40] Goodlookinguy: So, the strikes keep adding up, while it only checks how many were added within the hour.

[15:41] WetWired: Yes, there are more DB efficent ways to do it, but this is the simplest to implement

[15:41] WetWired: Also, you have a log of failed login attempts

[15:41] WetWired: You might even choose to record the username they were attempting to login as
